Marriage - Family - Individual
Counseling has long been a critical service provided by Catholic Charities. We offer marital, family and individual counseling. These counseling services will strive to proclaim Christ's gospel of life, serve families and individuals in need, and promote the dignity of individuals and the sanctity of marriage.
Whom do we serve?
Catholic Charities serves children, adolescents, adults, couples and families of all faiths and heritages residing in west central Wisconsin. Catholic Charities also provides community education and school guidance in some areas. Our services are offered without regard to race, gender, national origin, age, disability or economic status.
What needs do we address?
Among the issues our counselors will address are depression, anxiety, relationships, mental and emotional concerns, family conflict, self-esteem, grief, divorce, abuse, post-trauma and women's issues. During counseling, participants will identify and discuss issues that are troubling for them in a confidential, informal and non-threatening setting. Participants and counselors work together to establish an individual plan of care. Counselors from Catholic Charities recognize that spiritual well-being is an important part of wholeness. When appropriate, our counselors will address issues of faith and spirituality, helping persons to move closer to God as they resolve the issues they present. Additional services may include education and guidance to schools, parishes, churches and communities as requested.
What are our qualifications and fees?
All of our counselors are licensed professionals who hold at least a Master's degree and have experience in their field. Our counselors abide by the highest ethical standards and receive continuing education. Typical counseling sessions last one hour. Our counseling services are covered by insurance and Medical Assistance; and in cases where there is no insurance, a sliding fee scale is used to determine cost of care. Our counseling offices are open weekdays; evening appointments are also available.
